Dublin, Ireland - October 2004 A second exhibition similar to that at the Berengo Fine Art Gallery (above) will take place in Hallward Gallery, Dublin. Dates: 15th October for 2 weeks Venue: Hallward Gallery, 65 Merrion Square, Dublin 2
Kilkenny - October 2002 Carmel Mooney's glass installation 'Firebirds', which was premiered at the Waterford International Glass Art Festival (see below), was exhibited at the Crafts Council of Ireland premises. This exhibition also included several paintings by Carmel Mooney.
Waterford - Summer 2002 The first International Glass Art Festival 'Artists-in-Glass' was held in six venues in Waterford City (July - October 2002) and artists from 12 countries were represented by over 300 works in glass. A feature of this exhibition was the major glass installation 'Firebirds' created by Carmel Mooney when she collaborated with the Glass Masters of the Berengo Foundation in Murano, Venice, where this work was realized. A number of relevant paintings were also shown in the Garter Lane Gallery during this event.
Dublin - April 2001 European Commissioner Christopher F Patten launched the book 'That Space Between' in the National Gallery, Friends House, 90 Merrion Square, Dublin. The book covers work over 20 years and contains some 80 colour plates with essays by many leading art critics and figures in the Irish world of art.
Brussels - September 2001 Carmel Mooney represented Ireland in the Murano Venezia Europa exhibition, in the European Parliament Building, which exhibited a work in glass by one artist from each of the 15 European countries and which is now travelling throughout Europe.
Rome - March 2000 By invitation of the Fondazione Murisa Bellisario works by Carmel Mooney were exhibited in the Museo Vittoriano in Rome in Spring 2000.
Dublin - June 2000 Presented a solo exhibition of work in the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, as part of the Anna Livia International Opera Festival, to which she was artist-in-residence.
France - September 1999 Carmel Mooney was one of the two Irish Artists invited to show in the Interceltique De Lorient Festival in Britanny, a festival which represents the coming together of all the Celtic nations in art, music and other cultural activities.
London & Dublin - March 1999 Simultaneous Solo exhibitions in Cork Street in London, curated by Tanya Baxter of Art House Consultancy, the Kings Road Gallery (London) and the Hallward Gallery in Dublin were very well received and introduced many new collectors to her work.
Hong Kong & Dublin - 1996 Two major solo exhibitions in Bank of Ireland (Head Office Exhibition Hall, Dublin) and LKF The Gallery, Hong Kong, represented a major undertaking and confirmed the international appeal of Carmel Mooney's work. Volcanic SeriesPainted at Fire Mountain, Lanzarote:
