Sculpture & Installations

A new dimension to Carmel Mooney's portfolio of work was added as a result of an invitation to represent Ireland in Brussels Exhibition - Murano-Venezia, Europa - in September 2001. Subsequently she was invited to collaborate with Berengo Art Glass Foundation in Murano to make a 'Firebirds™' installation and in 2004 an installation of "Fantasy Birds™". These sculptures are in many galleries and museums in the USA and Europe. She again represented Ireland in the international OPENASIA 2004 on the Lido in Venice in September and October 2004. The vibrancy of her colours, combined with the experience of the Glass Masters, demonstrate how the two dimensional subjects translate to three dimensional pieces.
